POST-WRAP INFORMATION

VINYL WRAP

Thank you for choosing us to customize your vehicle! For the first week of your new wrap, a little extra sun is good for curing the adhesive. Please don't wash your vehicle for 7 days. Wipe downs with quick detailer are fine during the first week.

After the first 7 days, it is critical that you wash the vehicle regularly, at least once every other week. Vinyl wraps (especially light satin colors) will stain if they are not kept clean.

It's very important to understand that if there is any pullback or lifting, it does not mean the wrap is going to come off. We install what is known as "Cast Vinyl" which is at one point a liquid poured into a cast. This is what gives the vinyl elasticity when heated to conform to different shapes. Cast vinyl also has memory and wants to go back to its original size once heated after installation. This is where post heating is critical. Anything stretched over 20% needs to be heated to 190 Degrees. This will "kill" the memory in the film. If any lifting edges are noticed after delivery, please contact us immediately. The longer the lift stays exposed, the more difficult it will be to repair. This is why we like to keep the vehicle for at least a half day to sit out in the sun before delivery.

Vinyl is installed with a squeegee and light workmarks (surface micro scratches) may be visible at first. These will fade in the sun once the material is fully cured.

Depending on the type of material and finish used, glue lines may be visible in areas where the material has to be stretched and contoured. The adhesive will even out over about 30 days and eventually will fade.

It is critical to avoid drive through car washes with brushes that touch the vehicle. These will damage the wrap and void the warranty. Car washes that spray jets and do not touch the car are acceptable, but a hand car wash is always recommended.

If you have a satin or matte wrap, never use clay bar, wax paste, or a mechanical polisher on your vehicle. If you have a gloss wrap, you may use a light polish on low speed if you desire. Never apply cleaning/spray products to a panel that is hot. This includes a hood after the engine was recently running or dark vinyl that has been sitting in the sun. You'll want to wait until the vehicle return to an ambient temperature when applying any products to the surface. Stay away from cleaning products with harsh chemicals or degreasers like Simple Green. Harsh chemicals or solvents can damage the top coat of the wrap.

If you received a ceramic coating, you can think of that as a semi-permanent wax and your vehicle does not need additional wax. Ceramic coating does not mean the vehicle never has to be washed. Ceramic coating protects from UV rays, makes washing easier, and makes less debris stick to the clear coat. If the vehicle is not washed for prolonged periods, the wrap can still be stained permanently

In order to keep your warranty in tact, it is critical to care for the wrap by following the instructions above. Additionally, do not use excess tire dressing that can splatter on the wrap. It is a solvent and will damage the wrap.

  • Avoid high-pressure washes.

  • Prevent water spots by hand drying.

  • Apply compatible automotive coating or sealant.

  • Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents.

  • Accident or collision damage.

  • Modifications to PPF.

  • Normal wear and tear.

  • Damage to the original paint.

  • Aftermarket paint pulling during removal.

In sum, your PPF warranty protects your vehicle's finish. Follow care guidelines, and enjoy a long-lasting, showroom-quality look while benefiting from warranty coverage. A well-maintained PPF ensures your vehicle stays stunning for years.

WINDOW TINT

Window tint is installed with soapy water, so there will likely be water bubbles or a haze in the tint at first. This is completely normal and part of the process.

Leaving the vehicle out in the sun will evaporate the water and cure the tint.

Please DO NOT roll your windows down for the first 3 days.

WARRANTY

We stand by our work and aim to treat vehicles as we would our own. If an issue appears in the work that was not present when the vehicle was delivered, we will address it as soon as possible.

In order to be covered by the warranty two conditions must be met. The wrap must be maintained and washed regularly and you must notify us of issues within 14 days of it arising. Waiting weeks or months could mean dirt saturates the panel worsening the problem and making it unlikely that we are able to fully fix it.

FAQ

What Should I Use For Spot Cleaning?
Spot cleaning is super important and should be done as soon as you see a concerned area. This Includes: bird droppings, tree sap, rust water, and tar. It's a good idea to keep cleaning supplies in your vehicle. Please feel free to ask us about aftercare products. Mr. Clean Magic eraser is a great thing to have handy for stains. Do not use excessive pressure in one spot. Lightly dampen the eraser sponge and wipe in circular motions with light pressure. This is more critical on matte wraps.

Avoid wiping the wrap when it’s hot, this can distort the material and cause wrinkling when the glue is softened by the heat. First use the most mild method of cleaning then go stronger if needed. Soak area with soapy water, soak your micro fiber cloth, and gently wipe area. If it doesn't come off graduate to isopropyl alcohol, then a citrus all purpose cleaner. Always make sure to rinse and neutralize with water once finished.

How Do I Clean Bird Droppings, Insects, Tree Sap or Other Difficult Stains?
Clean bird droppings and difficult stains immediately. Letting them sit for too long will make them harder to remove and may permanently damage the wrap.  Soak the affected area for a few minutes with warm, soapy water to loosen the contaminants. Rinse completely and dry with a micro fiber cloth.

For stubborn contaminants you can try the products above or use denatured alcohol, 3M® Citrus Base Cleaner, Meguiar’s Gold Class™ Bug and Stain Remover or two parts isopropyl alcohol to one part water. Always test these solutions on a small area that’s not easily noticeable to ensure the cleaner will not harm the wrap.  Do not use solvents, thinners or oil based cleaning products!

What Should I Do About Gas or Fuel Spills?
Wipe off fuel spills immediately, then hand wash the affected area. Letting the spill stay the wrap too long will degrade the vinyl.  A quick wipe with 70% alcohol or quick detail spray is recommended to insure the finish of the film wont degrade from the spill.
